By using MobiDokta's services, website, or booking platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before proceeding.
1. Definitions
- "MobiDokta" refers to MobiDokta (Pty) Ltd, registered in South Africa.
- "TechDokta" refers to a certified MobiDokta repair technician.
- "Customer" / "You" refers to any individual or entity using our services.
- "Device" refers to any smartphone, tablet, or wearable submitted for repair.
- "Services" refers to all repair, diagnostic, and maintenance services offered.
2. Services
MobiDokta provides professional device repair services including but not limited to:
- Screen replacement (transplant)
- Battery replacement (resuscitation)
- Water damage repair (ICU treatment)
- Charging port repair (surgery)
- Software recovery and data retrieval
- Comprehensive device diagnostics
Services are available at our Gauteng clinic locations: Sandton Central, Pretoria East, and Menlyn.
3. Bookings & Appointments
- Bookings can be made through our online platform at mobidokta.co.za/book.
- Appointments are subject to availability and are confirmed upon successful booking.
- You will receive confirmation via SMS, WhatsApp, and/or email.
- A reminder will be sent 2 hours before your scheduled appointment.
- MobiDokta reserves the right to reschedule appointments due to unforeseen circumstances.
3.1 Cancellations
- Cancellations must be made at least 4 hours before the appointment time.
- No-shows without cancellation may incur a rebooking priority penalty.
4. Pricing & Payment
- All prices are quoted in South African Rands (ZAR) and include VAT (15%).
- Estimated costs provided via the online calculator are indicative only. Final pricing is confirmed after diagnostic assessment.
- Payment is accepted via:
- Yoco — Visa, Mastercard
- Peach Payments — Visa, Mastercard (3D Secure)
- Ozow — Instant EFT (FNB, Standard Bank, Nedbank, ABSA, Capitec, Investec)
- Full payment is required before the repaired device is released to the customer.
5. Warranty
6-Month All-Repair Warranty on Workmanship. All repairs performed by MobiDokta TechDoktas carry a 6-Month All-Repair Warranty against workmanship defects, subject to the conditions below.
- The warranty covers defects arising from the repair work performed.
- The warranty does not cover:
- Physical damage occurring after the repair (drops, impacts, liquid ingress)
- Damage caused by unauthorised third-party tampering
- Software-related issues unrelated to the repair
- Normal wear and tear
- To claim warranty, present your booking reference and proof of payment.
6. Liability
Important: While MobiDokta exercises the highest standard of care, we are not liable for:
- Pre-existing defects or damage not related to the repair service
- Data loss during repair (customers are advised to back up all data before submitting devices)
- Delays caused by parts procurement from international suppliers
- Indirect or consequential losses arising from device downtime
Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the total amount paid for the specific repair service in question.
7. Customer Responsibilities
- Provide accurate device and contact information when booking
- Back up all data before submitting a device for repair
- Remove all SIM cards, memory cards, and accessories before drop-off
- Collect repaired devices within 14 days of notification. Uncollected devices after 30 days may be disposed of per the Consumer Protection Act
- Disable device security locks (Find My iPhone, Google FRP) before submitting for repair
8. Refund Policy
- If a repair cannot be completed, the customer will be offered a full refund or alternative service.
- Refunds are processed within 7 business days to the original payment method.
- Diagnostic fees are non-refundable if the customer declines the quoted repair.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on the MobiDokta website, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of MobiDokta (Pty) Ltd and protected by South African copyright law.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Gauteng, South Africa.
11. Consumer Protection
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008. You have the right to:
- Fair and honest dealings
- Quality service and workmanship
- Full disclosure of pricing before service
- Lodge complaints with the National Consumer Commission
